TwinBin Live: automated two‑bin replenishment system
Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and cloud tracking, TwinBin Live keeps frequently used items available through automated, point‑of‑use replenishment – maintaining agreed stock levels without routine manual checks. It provides real‑time visibility, full reorder and refill traceability, and First In, First Out batch control, helping reduce stockouts, time and labour, and avoid unnecessary overstocking.
How it works (slider + flag + BLE signal)
Dispense items from the lower bin, release from the top, and let the system signal replenishment.
- Items are picked from the lower bin first.
- When the lower bin is empty, the user pulls a slider.
- The slider releases the contents of the upper bin into the lower bin (so picking continues).
- Pulling the slider makes a flag pop up and sends a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) signal.
- That signal triggers replenishment when stock falls below predefined thresholds, so the upper bin can be refilled.
- Reorders and replenishments are recorded with a complete audit trail in Sourcerer.
