BFC Driver and Warehouse Operative – Redditch
We are currently looking to recruit a BFC Driver and Warehouse Operative to be based at Redditch (Arthur Street, B98 8JY). This position will report directly to the Group Warehouse Supervisor.
Purpose
To conduct a wide range of normal warehouse duties which includes:
- Goods in
- Forklift driving (where qualified)
- Putting goods away
- Ensuring the racks are in an orderly manner
- Picking of orders
- Preparing orders
- Goods out and loading of varying types of transport
- Maintaining a high level of daily housekeeping within the warehouse areas
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly processed
- Conducting a range of driving duties across multiple company sites which includes:
- delivering goods to customers
- carrying out re-stock of KANBAN and Bin Systems at customer sites where required
- collecting goods from suppliers
- collecting goods from third party partners and ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly processed
- Ensuring all company vehicles are kept clean and tidy
Key Responsibilities
- Waste – Maintaining company waste and recycling standards, to minimise environmental impact and reduce costs
- Cleanliness – Maintain site cleanliness standards including all equipment (Karcher, FLTs) to a high standard
- Group – Willingness to support wider Group – Inter-site working
- Fleet – Where licenses are held, ensure that the equipment is used in a controlled and safe manner
- Duties – Assist with any warehouse duties
- Reporting Line – Reporting to the Group Warehouse Supervisor
- Stock – Ensure physical stock control is adhered to and assist with stock checks as and when required
- Support – Group Warehouse Supervisor in related duties as required
- Finished Stock – Ensure the company standard is followed and maintained
- Re-Stock Customer Sites – Re-stock KANBAN and Bin Systems on Customer sites
- Re-order Stock – Re-order stock for customer KANBAN and Bin Systems
- KANBAN – Ensure KANBAN and Bin Systems are kept in a tidy manner and stock accurate
- Deliveries – Review deliveries before leaving base to ensure accuracy
Skills and Profile Required
- Full, current driving licence – with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (Essential)
- Forklift (Counterbalance) experience (Desirable – will train the right person)
- PC literate (Essential)
- Good communication skills (Essential)
- Ability to work to tight deadline (Essential)
- Ability to use own initiative (Essential)
- Ability to work well within a team as well as on their own (Essential)
- Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
- Ability to work to a high standard (Essential)
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken (Essential)

Additional job details:

- Hours – 37.75 hours per week (08:30-17:00 hours (Monday to Thursday, 08:30-16:00 hours (Friday), with an unpaid break of 45 minutes
